Radio Presentation: Team Work Evaluation

My partner John Lacsi and I worked well on our presentation. What I really love about our presentation is that we used correct information. We were worried about not being able to finish our presentation in time. The main thing that we were working on was a model of a radio.

Learning: Simplify Fractions

I am learning how to simplify fractions by using the common factor to find the smallest fraction. This shows that I got 100 % on my 3rd try.

A Beginning For A Young Man

There is a basketball game taking place today like you have never seen before. The game starts at 7:30 because this special player needs his rest for the best game of his life. The game began with a terrifying battle to see who would be the luckiest person to get the M.V.P award (Most Valuable Player). This special player’s name is called Terrence Ross. Terrence Ross has a yellow thunder pattern tattoo on his right arm, with a skin texture that ranges to dark purple to light. Terrence Ross also has bright red shoes and gloves that could glow in the dark, just in case there was a blackout through the game.

When the game already began, Terrence was in the lead with his team, but there was a little nudge. Terrence could see that no fans or anyone could notice Terrence playing basketball, like a professional basketball player. But the worse part about it was that, people thought it was Terrence's teammates making them win.

After Terrence got a nudge on the head, the buzzer STRIKED!!! For the last half of the game. When Terrence’s coach (Bruce), told him to get in the game. People started remembering Terrence and started saying.

“Hey! That guy is a professional basketball player!” shouted a fan.

“Yea, he’s the one that has bright red shoes and gloves that could glow in the dark!” shouted another fan.

When Terrence heard the wonderful things people have been saying about him, he started giving it his all. As that happens, the other team’s coach started screaming “ NO! NO! NO!!!!!”.

At the last minute of the game, Terrence decided to make the ending of the game fancy with a difficult dunk that only a few people can do. So after that, their was a huge occasion from the fans “ Go! Go! Terrence!!! Go! Go! Terrence!!!”.

“Three seconds on the clock!” said the commenter. At the end of the game Terrence finally made the dunk in the hoop with a crazy slam. “WOW……” everyone said at once with surprise. Two years later Terrence became a famous basketball player, but once that happens he got beaten in basketball games more than once because he was worried about what his father had, a terrible disease that could stop his heart from beating.

The Importance Of Advent!

I have done this Advent poster because in R.E Room 7 have been learning about Advent, the 5th liturgical season in the year. This is a time when Christians prepare for Christmas (Jesus's Birthday).

You Must Eat Breakfast!!!

Should Children Eat Breakfast Before Going To School

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day because it gives everyone energy so they could wake up and focus on what their doing and what their about to do. Breakfast can help everyone in need, and help you if you are still tired.

If children don't come to school without having breakfast then they won’t be able to learn. Students might or can get in trouble in school because if they don’t eat breakfast they would be lethargic (Sleepy&Tired). In school every parent wants their children to get good marks, so that means that if students get lethargic then they will be tired and get low marks. For example, once a student sleeps in class the students teacher would tell him off because he wasn't doing his work.

Our body is like a car because it has a body just like us. For example if a car doesn't have gas then it will not run so if we don’t eat breakfast (The important meal of the day) then our body won’t be able to have any energy to move, and if children won’t be able to move then they wouldn't be able to play with friends in or out of school grounds.

If children don’t eat breakfast then they would have some difficult problems at school. Sometimes when people don’t eat breakfast they could get sick such as getting a stomach egg, head egg or fever. For example, if students are sick, how are they going to learn if they miss out on their learning at school?

If children don’t eat breakfast there could be some consequences at school. Sometimes if children miss out on their learning, their future won’t really be successful. But if children start eating breakfast they could have a better future.

 

My Media Life As A Sports Player

The Smartest and Friendliest Dinosaur

Lebron Caramel

The dinosaur I know is a weirdo but he is really cool as a pet, a friend and sometimes a family member. His name is Lebron but people call him Mr Caramel just like his favourite ice cream. Lebron’s favourite sport is rocky hoop, but in our time it is called basketball. He would always play with me in the evenings. Caramel is not very virtuous at all, because he always runs away when someone is injured.

Lebron is very good in self-defense because he has high quality armor. His armor can stand anything like a rock thrown in a pile of water. His armor is special because it can also camouflage. Lebron also uses his armor as a hat so he wouldn't get dino-burn as that can turn into EXTREME-BURN!

Mr Caramel is a Dinosaur that is very Sporty. Everytime we play rocky hoop he always cheats because he has black wings that could also camouflage and make him fly. I am very suspicious of him at times as he uses his wings to hide from me.

Lebron Caramel is a friend that stands  up for himself and protects his family from harm and danger. He is a dinosaur that stars in the movie called “The Adventure Begins with Lebron Caramel and A Box of Ice Cream”.

Lebron is a great dinosaur that have many positive characteristics and hopefully people could see that in him the way I that I do.

Colourful Creatures In Our World!

Butterflies

A butterfly is an eating- nectar-insect, it can get nectar from any type of flowers. Its cousin is a moth because they have something in common, for example, they both are food to spiders,lizards,birds or any kind of predator insects and also they use their wings to scare predators or camouflage in leaves, grass or anything that has the same colour and pattern on their wings.

1) The butterfly’s mouth is not the same as human beings or animals. Humans chew their food before swallowing, butterflies suck their nectar. Its mouth is just like a mosquito.

2)Butterflies can not see, they could only hear, sense, smell and feel. Butterflies can not see, but they mostly use their antennae to sense nectar.

3)Did you know that butterflies carry poison sometimes on their wings.  If an insect is trying to harm it or if a butterfly gets attacked,  it will mostly fly away to spot that they could hide.

So I know that butterflies are very kind to humans and other insects . They are also beautiful to look at and it makes our world more beautiful to live in.   

Water, Water, Water! Water Everywhere!

World of water

• Living things cannot exist without water
• Water powered generators to make electricity
• Without water trees and plants wouldn't have grown
• Water gives life and makes Earth different from other planets in our solar system
• Salt water is bad for our bodies because we could die from it
• We need fresh water so we can be hydrated than being dehydrated
• The human body and the brain is 70 percent water
• If an orgasm does not have enough water it would get really dehydrated and might die from it
• Human being need fresh clean water so we could survive and be healthy
• People use water to clean cars or any kind of machinery
• If water is wasted there might not be enough for next generations of people to live on this earth

A Moment With My Mum

Me celebrating Mothers Day with my special mum

Yesterday was a special day for all the mums in the world because it was Mothers Day. It’s a day that everyone who has a mother shows respect, honor and love by doing good things for their mother.

As for my mother I did try my best to make her feel happy and special so she could feel my love for her especially on Mother’s Day. Early in the morning I woke up and gave her the card that I made for her and she was delighted to receive it. Then she thought that I copied someone else’s words for the card but it actually came from my heart. I wished that I had breakfast with mum but my uncle arrived to take me to the bakery to buy freshly baked bread for the priest in St Patrick’s Parish.  

When my uncle and I arrived to  church, I quickly walked to father’s house so I could give the freshly cooked bread for his breakfast. As I was changing into the White Albe, I went to my uncle to check if everything is organised for the Mass, for example taking the wine and bread at the back of church so someone else could take it to father during Mass.

When Mas was starting, I had a feeling that I didn't want to serve anymore. During church we were up to the part where Father Michael gives the holy bread to those who had done their Holy Communion. As I was going to receive the bread I felt a sad emotion that my mum was sitting by herself. I thought that my mother should not be sitting alone on her special day. I should be sitting next to her but I was an altar server on that day. I couldn't wait for church to finish so I could give mum my undivided attention.

When church finally finished I quickly took my albe out and sprinted to mum so I could give her a hug and a kiss. Hopefully, I made her feel special on her special day. I love my mum!

My recount of the weekends

On Sunday, I always..... do the usual thing, for example go to church. When I went to church I forgot that it was going to be a special celebration, because it was a time for the church’s birthday “That’s right! It was Pentecost!”.

Pentecost is when all of the Catholics and Christians come together to celebrate with the church. This is an interesting fact, do you know why they say that there is a birthday for the church? It’s because a very long time ago, some Saints,Catholics and Christians built the house of God.

When my uncle picks me up every Sunday, we always  go to the bakery so we could buy freshly baked bread for the priest. When my uncle and I arrived at the St Patrick’s Parish, I walked to father’s house and gave the bread to brother Henry, then I walked to the church.

“Uncle, what is the colour for today? Oh! Never mind”. As I was changing into the Albe, I realised that Tevita, Jay and his cousins haven’t shown up. When the other servers didn’t come, I started having goosebumps because I do NOT want to serve by myself again.

Thirty minutes later Jay and his cousins arrived “Man what happened? Were you guys stuck in traffic?” I said with relief. “No”, they answered back. “Hurry boys, stop talking you are not girls” said Father Michael. When church finally finished, I was happy because sometimes when I am an altar server I get really shy and nervous.

At the end of church I always have a feeling that I have worked hard to serve the Lord and help the priest.

My Easter Holiday

Easter Holiday

During the Easter holiday, I went with my family to church to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. After church, I heard that my auntie was going to have a B.B.Q at her mansion(not  really a mansion) but it’s better looking than my house. I was happy when my mum and I arrived at my aunt's place because I was expecting that there would be fantastic surprises for me.I started to have goosebumps from excitements. BUT NO.... It was just the normal.”Hello, where’s your mum? asked my aunt. “Oh, she’s still in the car,” I answered. Then I was told to go and help my uncle to set up things for the B.B.Q, and to arrange the chairs and tables before the other guests arrive. As I was helping my uncle I heard familiar voices and I exclaimed, “Yes!, my other aunt and uncle are here.”

I got surprised when my baby cousin arrived with his Samoan dad and I think Italian or french mum, but never mind that, I had someone to play with and it made me feel good because I was starting to get really bored.,You know, sometimes when the adults decide to do a celebration or a party it can get really boring, like being in a geek club.Then the rest of the visitors arrived and the the B.B.Q started at the back of my aunt’s house, then the celebration began!

Close to the end of the day with my whole family, I was playing lots of interesting games with all my little cousins because none of my cousins older than me weren’t even there. Finally, it was time to hand out yummy easter eggs! My uncle got one bag of different mixture of easter eggs, for example, some were hard boiled eggs and he drew pictures and  wrote words on them. But most of them were real chocolate eggs.

At the end of the day I was really proud and happy that I was with my family and  relatives. When everyone said goodbye,  I felt a bit sad  because I had to go home and get ready for school the next day. Fortunately, I felt  lucky and blessed that I had such an amazing celebration of Easter.
